Jewelie writes close. Close to the reader, close to the body, close to the heart. A Pacific Northwest native, Jewelie is a listmaker, witch and naturalist, who collects books, seeds, stones and branches. She left her small town behind in her late teens for Portland where she didn’t know a soul. She’s still in the City of Roses with a black lab, two frogs and her husband who she met at a concert, the venue of which is now a spanish tapas bar. She has two grown kids and a brand new granddaughter who live on the opposite coast. She’s in the process of editing her first book, a memoir.
